Frequently Asked Questions on Bone Density & Osteoporosis Care

Is it safe to exercise with osteoporosis?
Yes, absolutely. Our programs are specifically designed to be safe for people with low bone density or osteoporosis. We focus on controlled, weight-bearing, and balance-enhancing exercises to strengthen your body without increasing fracture risk.

Who leads the sessions?
All classes are led by Accredited Exercise Physiologists who are trained in managing chronic conditions like osteoporosis. They monitor your form, adjust exercises to your needs, and ensure a safe and supportive experience.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?
A referral is not required to attend your first class. However, if you have complex health needs, we may ask for relevant medical information to help tailor the program to your condition.

What if I’ve had a fracture before?
That’s not a problem. We’ll review your history and adjust the exercises to protect vulnerable areas while still helping you build strength and confidence.

I haven’t exercised in years—can I still join?
Absolutely. Our classes are beginner-friendly and paced to suit your ability. We’ll start slow and progress gradually as you feel stronger and more comfortable.

How many people are in each class?
To ensure personal attention, each class is limited to 5–8 participants. This allows our team to support you closely in a comfortable, friendly environment.

Where are the classes held?
Our osteoporosis programs are available at WA Health Group clinics in Murdoch and Canning Vale.

How long is each session?
Each session runs for approximately 45 minutes, including warm-up and cool-down.

What if I feel unwell during a session?
Your safety is our top priority. If you ever feel unwell or experience discomfort, let us know right away—our team is trained to respond and support you.

What if I don’t enjoy the class?
