The Heartfelt Journey of WA Health Group: Chris and Lennon's Story

Chris and Lennon’s journey to founding WA Health Group is rooted in a deep friendship, shared passion, and a commitment to transforming healthcare. Their vision extended beyond building a business; they sought to create a community where patients and clinicians alike could experience compassionate, holistic, and patient-centred care.

A friendship with a purpose

Chris and Lennon’s bond began during their university years, where they quickly connected over their mutual desire to help others. Both were driven by the belief in the power of physiotherapy and holistic care to improve lives. Their friendship, built on respect and shared values, laid the foundation for their common dream: to make a meaningful impact in healthcare.

As they embarked on their careers, they encountered the shortcomings of the existing healthcare system. They observed patients being treated as mere numbers, clinicians experiencing burnout, and a general lack of collaboration among healthcare professionals. This realization ignited their desire to create something different—a place where both patients and healthcare providers could thrive.

The spark of an idea

The idea for WA Health Group emerged from a profound sense of purpose. Chris and Lennon identified a significant gap in the healthcare market: the need for a clinic that not only offered top-quality care but also treated patients with the compassion and respect they deserved. They envisioned a space where healthcare professionals could collaborate, leveraging their expertise to deliver holistic care that addressed the whole person.

For Chris, this vision was deeply personal. He had witnessed his grandfather endure two knee replacements that became infected, causing immense suffering. This experience fueled Chris’s determination to find alternative approaches to healthcare—methods that prioritized patient well-being over invasive procedures.

Lennon, too, brought his personal experiences to the table. Growing up in a culture where wellness was often misunderstood, he faced the challenge of convincing people about the importance of movement and lifestyle in maintaining health. He wanted to create a space where people from all backgrounds could access and understand the value of physiotherapy and embrace a healthier way of living.

Together, Chris and Lennon realized they didn’t just want to be part of the healthcare system—they wanted to transform it.

Building a dream

With little more than their shared vision and determination, Chris and Lennon set out to build WA Health Group. They weren’t just starting a business; they were creating a community—a place where patients could find not just treatment but hope. They designed WA Health Group to be the clinic they wished they had when they were starting out—one that valued collaboration, innovation, and compassion.

Their first clinic in Canning Vale was a labor of love. Every detail was carefully considered to create an environment of warmth and healing. Word quickly spread, and patients came not just for the treatments but for the genuine care they received. They felt seen, heard, and valued.

Chris and Lennon knew that to make a real difference, they needed a team that shared their vision. They sought out professionals who were not only skilled but also passionate about delivering patient-centred care. By empowering their team to innovate and co-create solutions, they fostered a level of care that was truly personalized and effective.

A vision realized

As WA Health Group flourished, so did Chris and Lennon’s vision for accessible, high-quality healthcare. Expanding to multiple locations and acquiring Apex Physiotherapy, Burswood Health Professionals, and Peak Pilates Studio, they brought their innovative approach to even more communities. Their leadership and passion have not only elevated WA Health Group but also championed the importance of allied health, setting new standards in the field.

However, no matter how much they grew, they never lost sight of what mattered most—the people. Every patient who walked through their doors was a reminder of why they started this journey. Every clinician who joined their team was a testament to the culture of care and excellence they had cultivated.

Chris and Lennon’s commitment to their team extended beyond providing a supportive work environment. They were determined to raise the profile of allied health professionals, advocating for their recognition and respect within the broader medical community. They believed that by demonstrating the value of conservative, movement-based approaches to healthcare, they could help shift the focus away from invasive procedures and toward preventative care.

Their passion for service excellence was reflected in every aspect of WA Health Group, from the satisfaction guarantee they offered to patients to the continuous professional development opportunities for their staff. Chris and Lennon understood that healthcare was not just about treating illness but about promoting overall well-being and enabling people to live their healthiest, happiest lives.
