Our physiotherapists provide evidence-based assessment and treatment for a wide range of workplace-related injuries.
We work closely with your GP, insurer, and employer (where relevant) to help you follow the recommended care pathway under WorkCover WA or other insurers.

Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist for a workplace injury?
A referral is not required to see a physiotherapist. If your treatment is part of a WorkCover WA claim, it can be helpful to have documentation from your GP or treating doctor so your physiotherapist can align your care with your claim.
What happens during my first physiotherapy appointment?
Your physiotherapist will talk with you about your injury, review any relevant medical information, and complete a physical assessment. Together, you’ll discuss your goals and agree on a treatment plan suited to your recovery and work requirements.
Can physiotherapy help with returning to work after an injury?
Physiotherapy can assist in improving movement, strength, and confidence following an injury. Your physiotherapist may collaborate with your GP, employer, or insurer to guide a gradual return-to-work plan where appropriate.
Does WA Health Group provide care under WorkCover WA?
Yes. WA Health Group provides physiotherapy for patients who have an approved WorkCover WA or other insurance claim. Our administrative team can assist with the required claim documentation and communication with your insurer.
What types of workplace injuries can physiotherapists help with?
Physiotherapists can assist with a range of work-related injuries, including back or neck pain, joint and muscle strains, repetitive strain injuries, and posture-related conditions. Your treatment plan will be tailored to your needs.
How often will I need physiotherapy sessions?
The number and frequency of sessions depend on your injury, overall health, and progress. Your physiotherapist will discuss this with you after your initial assessment and review it as you recover.
Can my physiotherapist communicate with my employer or insurer?
Yes, with your consent, your physiotherapist can share progress reports and updates with your GP, employer, and insurer to help coordinate your care.
What should I bring to my appointment?
You may wish to bring your WorkCover WA claim number, any referral letters, medical certificates, imaging, or reports that relate to your injury. Comfortable clothing is recommended to allow free movement during your assessment and treatment.
